What happens inside
Under gentle pressure, 95% oxygen dissolves into your blood plasma — reaching places that ordinary breathing simply can't reach on its own. Your body doesn't have to work for it. It just receives.
Most people describe the experience the same way: deep, unhurried rest. Sixty or ninety minutes of stillness where the world goes quiet, the pace slows, and your body is given the one thing it always needs more of — oxygen, delivered generously.
Why oxygen matters
Every cell in your body runs on it. Oxygen is what your mitochondria use to produce the energy that powers everything — movement, thought, repair, rest. The air around us at sea level is roughly 21% oxygen, and for most of daily life, that's enough.
Inside the chamber, breathing 95% oxygen at gentle pressure, your body receives significantly more than it's used to. That surplus is the entire idea — not a treatment, not a fix, just more of the most fundamental resource your body already runs on.
The practice
One session feels wonderful. A regular rhythm is where the deeper change lives. Most guests settle into a pattern — weekly, fortnightly, or in a dedicated block — and describe the cumulative effect as better rest, steadier energy, and a quiet sense of resilience that builds over time.
This isn't about quick results. It's about giving your body consistent, generous conditions to do what it already knows how to do.
The chamber uses filtered ambient air delivered at gentle pressure — well within the range the body handles comfortably. Most guests find it deeply relaxing and emerge feeling genuinely refreshed.
You're never locked in. The chamber can be opened from the inside at any point, and there's a two-way intercom so you can speak with the team throughout your session. An alarm is also fitted for added peace of mind.
Inside the chamber, the air around you is gently pressurised — typically between 1.3 and 2.0 ATA (atmospheres absolute). To put that in perspective, 1.3 ATA feels like being about three metres underwater; 2.0 ATA is roughly ten metres. It's a gentle, gradual shift — most guests describe it as similar to the feeling of descending in a plane.
Your blood carries oxygen in two ways: red blood cells, which do most of the work, and plasma, the fluid that surrounds them. Under normal conditions the red blood cells carry almost all of it. Inside the chamber, the gentle pressure allows significantly more oxygen to dissolve directly into the plasma — reaching places your red blood cells alone can't get to.
The result isn't something being done to your body. It's your body receiving more of what it already runs on — oxygen, delivered generously and without effort.
There's a simple principle in physics called Henry's Law: the more pressure applied to a liquid, the more gas that liquid can absorb.
Your blood plasma is mostly water. Under normal conditions it carries very little oxygen — your red blood cells do almost all of that work. But inside the chamber, as the pressure gently increases, the plasma absorbs significantly more oxygen than it normally can.
That oxygen-rich plasma then circulates freely — reaching places your red blood cells alone simply can't reach on their own.
It's not magic. It's just physics, working gently in your favour.
Oxygen is the equivalent of “rocket fuel” for your body!
Most guests find the experience completely comfortable. The most common sensation is a mild fullness in the ears as the chamber pressurises — similar to descending in a plane or diving to the bottom of a pool. It clears easily by swallowing, yawning, or gently holding your nose and blowing.
We'll walk you through all of this before your first session, and the team is right there with you the entire time.
You'll settle into a comfortable position inside the chamber — sitting or lying down, whatever feels best. A soft mask fits gently over your nose and mouth, delivering 95% oxygen as you breathe naturally.
The chamber begins to pressurise gradually over about ten minutes. As it does, you'll likely feel a fullness in your ears — the same sensation as descending in a plane. Most people clear it easily with a few simple techniques:
Close your mouth, pinch your nose shut, and blow gently — as if blowing your nose with your mouth closed
Yawn widely or swallow a few times
Stretch your mouth open as far as is comfortable — even stretching your tongue out can help
If your ears are slow to clear, don't worry — it happens, especially on your first visit. We'll ease the pressure back and take it at your pace. Most guests find their ears adjust quickly over the first couple of sessions.
Typically, the session times are either sixty OR ninety minutes.
Choose between the seated or lie-down chamber — whichever feels right.
Before the chamber pressurises, take a moment to settle. Close your eyes and simply follow your breath for a few minutes. Try making your exhale twice as long as your inhale — long, slow out-breaths are the fastest way to tell your nervous system it's safe to let go.
After that, the time is yours. Read, listen to music or a podcast, meditate, or simply close your eyes and drift. Most guests tell us the ninety minutes passes far quicker than they expected — it's often described as the deepest rest they've had in years.
Please avoid coffee, alcohol, or anything stimulating for a few hours before your session. The chamber works best when your body is already settling toward rest.
If you're feeling congested — a head cold, blocked sinuses, or anything that makes it hard to clear your ears — let us know when you book. We may suggest waiting until you're feeling clearer, simply so you're comfortable.
We ask that you skip perfume, cologne, or strong essential oils on the day of your session. Some of our guests are sensitive to scents, and the chamber is a shared, enclosed space.
If you're someone who feels uncomfortable in enclosed spaces, let us know — the seated chamber offers a more open feel, and most guests find it surprisingly spacious.
As the chamber pressurises, you may notice a gentle warmth — it settles to a comfortable, neutral temperature once you're at full pressure. As the chamber slowly depressurises at the end, the air cools slightly.
Most guests describe the whole experience as deeply restful — like the world outside has been turned down to a whisper.
Everyone's goals are different. Some guests notice a difference after a handful of sessions; those building deeper, longer-term change often settle into a rhythm of 20 or more. We'll help you shape a rhythm that suits your life on your first visit.
Most guests describe the session itself as deeply restful — many drift off to sleep. It's not uncommon to emerge feeling like you've had the best nap of your adult life.
After your first few sessions, some people notice they feel pleasantly tired — a sign that your body is adjusting to a new rhythm of deep rest. Others feel immediately alert and energised. Everyone responds differently, and your own pattern will become clear over the first few visits.
The most common feedback we hear? Guests sleep deeply that night and wake feeling genuinely refreshed.

Steadier energy over time. Those who settle into a regular rhythm describe a quiet, sustained sense of energy — not a buzz, just a steadiness.
Clearer head. Many guests describe feeling mentally sharper after sessions — less fog, more focus.
A calmer nervous system. The combination of deep oxygen, stillness, and ninety minutes of uninterrupted rest has a way of turning the volume down on everything.
